The wife of the Executive Chairman of Uvwie Local Government Council, Mrs Maureen Ofoni, has flagged off a sensitization campaign on measles-rubella vaccine rollout in Uvwie LGA, Delta State.
The campaign aims to educate parents on the importance of vaccinating their children against the deadly diseases.

Mrs Ofoni urged parents to seize the opportunity to get their children vaccinated, emphasizing that the health of community dwellers can only be achieved through collaborative efforts. She commended the wife of the state governor, Mrs Maureen Oborevwori, for her role in promoting healthy living in Delta State.

The Chairman of Uvwie Local Government Council, Hon. Chief Anthony Onoriode Ofoni, represented by the Vice Chairman, Hon. Andrew Agagbo, stressed the importance of promoting healthy living in the council area.
He advised parents to take advantage of the vaccination exercise to protect their children.
The measles-rubella vaccine will be made available to children in Uvwie Local Government Area within the age range of 9 months to 14 years. The exercise is expected to run nationwide, aiming to combat the spread of the diseases and promote healthy living in the community.
