The Executive Chairman of Aniocha South Local Government Area, Hon. Pastor Jude Chukwunwike, has urged healthcare workers and relevant stakeholders to take the ongoing Measles–Rubella vaccination exercise seriously in order to safeguard the lives of children and prevent avoidable health complications.

Pastor Chukwunwike made the call at the Council Hall, Ogwashi-Uku, while flagging off the sensitization and vaccination campaign for children aged 0–14 years.
Speaking at the event, the council boss emphasized the need to prevent deadly health outcomes associated with preventable diseases, including malaria and measles, noting that proactive healthcare interventions remain the most effective strategy for protecting communities.
The Chairman was accompanied by his wife, Mrs. Ella Jude Chukwunwike, Leader of the Legislative Arm, Hon. Leonard Nzemeke, Secretary to the Local Government, Hon. Prince Tony Ebube, and the Head of Personnel Management, Mr. Austin Akaeze.
Also in attendance were the Council Treasurer, Mr. Sunny Otighe, Supervisory Councilors, officials from the State and Local Government Health Departments, primary school pupils, and market women, all of whom turned out in large numbers for the flag-off ceremony.

Pastor Chukwunwike appealed to all stakeholders to demonstrate strong commitment to meeting the health needs of the people, reiterating his administration’s unwavering dedication to healthcare investment and the prioritization of human life.
Demonstrating leadership by example, the Executive Chairman personally observed the administration of vaccines to children, underscoring his confidence in the safety and importance of the exercise.
