The Unuevworo ( traditional mouth piece)of Etche R ‘ Ogbe ( traditional administrative unit) in Uvwie Kingdom, High Chief Roy Grant Oke has inaugurated a 13 man executive committee for the ancient Uvwie community of Agaga – Erugba in Uvwie Local Government Area on Tuesday July 8th , 2025.
Those inaugurated to manage the affairs of the community for four years are Chief Patrick Agaga ( Chairman) , Hon Valentine Ajueyetsi – Agbaisi ( Vice Chairman) , Viva Agbugewan ( Secretary) , Daniel Agboro ( Assistant Secretary) Godwin Maduku Public Relations Officer ( PRO ) and Alloy Olu (Treasurer) .
Others are: Francisca Agaga (Financial Secretary) Etabunor Orugbo (Organizing Secretary) Ejiro Ajueyetsi – Agbaisi (Provost) Rosemary Madamedon (Socio Cultural Secretary) , Igho Okitaitai (Woman Leader) , Nelson Nafagan ( Oghwuvwie) and Lucky Arigbe ( Ex- officio) .
High Chief Roy Grant Oke in his thoughts provoking speech shortly before the inauguration of the Agaga – Erugba Community’s executives, lauded the people for the prevailing peace in the community as he noted that no meaningful development can take place in the absence of peace.
While congratulating the executive committee members for their appointments, the respected high of chief of Uvwie Kingdom, charged the chairman of the community to imbibe the spirits of transparency and oneness among his colleagues.
He also charged Chief Agaga on the renovation of the community town hall.
High Chief Oke who is the highest traditional chief of Etche R ‘ Ogbe was full of praises for a very respected politician in Uvwie Local Government Area, Hon Elder Efe Okoledo for his immense contributions to the relative peace in the community.
High Chief Oke had earlier praised HRM Dr Emmanuel Ekemejewa Sideso JP OON Abe 1 the Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom for the rapid positive transformation of Uvwie Kingdom which he noted was the good rulership of the Uvwie monarch.
Hon Efe Okoledo in his speech at the occasion, congratulated the new executive committee members of the community for their appointments just as he charged them to be up and doing in order to meet the expectation of the people of the community.
High point of the event was the administration of oaths of allegiance and office by the immediate past Chairman of Effurun Community Development Committee (ECDC) Barrister Peter Agbala on the newly inaugurated executive committee members of Agaga – Erugba Community .
Chief Patrick Agaga in his acceptance speech , thanked the chiefs and elders of the community for their appointments just as he promised to abide by the advice of High Chief Oke and Hon Elder Okoledo as contained in their separate speeches at the event.
Chief Agaga wrapped up his speech by promisingly that the community town hall will be completed by the next six months
Chief Golf Apene , Chief Blessing Eyagomare , Chief (Mrs ) Moritan were among those sited at the occasion that was attended by a cross section of the community.
