A Political support group known as Ukodo Nation forum has called on the people of Delta Central senatorial District to Support President Bola Tinubu and Delta State Governor ,Rt Hon Sheriff Oborewvori’s second term in office .
The State Vice Chairman of the group High Chief Roy Grant Oke made the appeal during a press briefing in Effurun -Sapele road , Uvwie local government area of Delta .
High Chief Oke ,the Unuevworo of Etche R’Ogbe in Uvwie kingdom who is also the chairman and coordinator of Ukodo Nation forum in Delta Central disclosed that the aim of the group is majorly to ensure the re-election of the President Tinubu and Governor Oborewvori come 2027 General elections .
He recalled that former Governor James Onanefe Ibori was re-elected as governor,same as Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan and Dr ifeanyi Okowa ,urging the Urhobo Sons and Daughters not to contest against Governor Oborewvori after his first tenure but to support him actualize his second tenure bid.
High Chief Oke who was recently inaugurated as the state vice chairman of Ukodo Nation forum by the state chairman Chief (Dr)Morrison Olori noted that the President Bola Tinubu and Delta State Governor Rt Hon Sheriff Oborewvori deserved to be re-elected following their achievements under two years of governance.
He listed the achievement of President Tinubu to include approval of 1 billion Dollars for the resuscitation of the Warri Port and others ,approval of Lagos -Calabar Coastal road project ,fuel subsidy removal which he described as a responsible policy decision that redirected billions into critical national infrastructure including increase of funds to the local government councils, amongst others .
Chief Oke also highlighted some of Governor Oborewvori’s achievements to include approval of ₦59 billion Uromi Junction flyover project, the ₦39 billion Ughelli Flyover, and the groundbreaking of Warri/Sapele Road rehabilitation, ongoing Effurun -Warri flyovers and road projects, groundbreaking of ₦21.3bn Ugbolu–Okpanam Road Project .
He further praised Oborevwori’s social welfare and empowerment programmes, including grants and soft loans for small and medium enterprises (SMEs), skills acquisition schemes for youths and women and targeted interventions for vulnerable groups under the MORE Agenda.
He also appealed to the Urhobo monarchs to solicits support from their subjects on behalf of President Bola Tinubu and Governor Sheriff Oborewvori,”Their leadership has brought tangible progress to the nation and our state in particular,” Oke declared.
Chief Oke hailed the Delta State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for recently endorsing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori as the party’s sole candidates for the 2027 general elections.
He noted that the endorsement signifies APC’s commitment to continuity, stability, and effective governance in both Delta State and Nigeria.
High Chief Oke pledged the group’s continued support for both leaders, expressing optimism that their second terms would accelerate infrastructure development and further stabilize the political and economic landscape.
The Ukodo Nation forum appeal for support to President Bola Tinubu and Rt Hon Sheriff Oborewvori’s second term bid is among various support and endorsement received by the duo ahead 2027 general elections.
