In commemoration of his 3rd coronation anniversary, HRM Dr Morris Ogheneochuko Eyekpimi – Egboboyen Owhotemu 11 the Orosuen (traditional ruler )of Okere Urhobo Kingdom Warri held a thanksgiving service at the chapel of the palace of Okere Urhobo Kingdom, Edjemudarho Street off Cinema Site Okumagba Avenue, Warri on Tuesday 7th April, 2026.
The Resident Pastor of Winners Chapel Okumagba, Pastor Godwin A Adomi ministered at the event in his sermon titled: ‘Understanding the blessing in the lesson of thanksgiving and praise ‘
Adomi who praised the highly respected Okere Urhobo monarch for choosing to celebrate his 3rd coronation anniversary with a thanksgiving, noted that thanksgiving is an application for God to do more good things and that it not a gift but a grace. He further reasoned that ” thanksgiving is a debt we owe God. “
The cleric therefore admonished against the dangers of not giving thanks to God for his goodness .

The thanksgiving service featured intercessory prayers for the Orosuen of Okere Urhobo Kingdom and his family, Chiefs, elders, mothers, youths of the kingdom, Okere Urhobo Kingdom, Urhobo Nation, Delta State and Nigeria.
High point of the event were special thanksgivings by the kindred families of Okere Urhobo Kingdom:Olodi, Oki, Emakro , Itifo and Ighogbadu, the departmental thanksgiving which included: the President General, Ighwuvwies , Egweya , youths and HRM Morris Ogheneochuko Eyekpimi – Egboboyen Owhotemu 11 the Orosuen of Okere Urhobo Kingdom.
The Otota (spokesman) of Okere Urhobo Kingdom, High Chief ( retired Brigadier – General) Gold Eburu in his vote of thanks applauded the traditional ruler for building a chapel in the palace on ascension to the throne.
