The Unuevworo ( the highest traditional chief ) of Uvwie Kingdom, High Chief Hope AKasa ( JP) has backed Tantita Global Security Company on its services in the Niger Delta Region.
This was contained in a statement issued by the highly esteemed Uvwie highest traditional chief in Effurun Uvwie Local Government Area last weekend.
The statement which was made available to newsmen reads inter alia:
‘Tantita a Global Security Company is ensuring the security of Niger Delta pipelines/ oil facilities .
‘ It is most important to know that Tantita Security Company limited is a blessing not a curse.
‘The Federal Government of Nigeria after considering the huge losses incurred in crude oil theft , destruction of pipeline facilities on regular basis which caused a great loss to the nation’ s economy , deemed it wise to employ the services of a private security company to protect the nation’ s oil , the main stay of Nigeria’ s economy .
‘ We must congratulate the management of Tantita for succeeding so far in this enormous task. It has tried to ensure that the oil facilities in Niger Delta are secured having put in place modern security framework to ensure sustainability in longer term.
‘ It is on record that it has never happened before that a private security company in Niger Delta is employed by the Federal Government in this direction. Moreso when the company is managed by a strong team of experienced technocrats whose mission are to secure the oil asset of our nation.
‘However I will advice that persons who have not yet positively benefited from the good services of Tantita in the Niger Delta should find ways to key into its services in order to for it achieve ultimate objectives of safe guiding Nigeria ‘ s oil wealth.’
‘ There is no gain saying the fact that Tantita Security Company is not just for the benefit of any particular ethnic group but a blessing to all Niger Deltans nay Nigerians.
‘ Niger Deltans and indeed Nigerians should should therefore join hands in ensuring its continue success rather than unjustly criticizing its operations.
‘ Together we can build a stronger and better Nigeria by promoting our socio / economic development in all sectors.
‘The Urhobos, Itsekiris, Ijaws, Isokos , kwales and other Niger Deltans have benefited from Tantita Security Services who is securing the asset of the nation’ s oil wealth. I will therefore advised that all unjustified criticisms about the service of Tantita Security Company should be stopped forthwith.
‘ Life is in transit and it will get to everyone’s turn and once it is your turn, you should ensure that its gets to the grass roots, same way Tantita is doing.
