Youths have been urged to come out of their comfort zone and stand up and fight against anything that might hinder a prosperous future they are entitled to.

chairman of Aniocha South Local Government,Pastor jude chukwunwike gave the advice while addressing a delegation from the National Youth Council of Nigeria led by Ambassador Comrade Kenneth Okorie. when he received them in his office at Ogwashi-Uku.

“Every successful individual has faced challenges. I was not born a council chairman; it is a result of humble beginnings and recommendations that brought me to this position. Go and build the nation, as your slogan says. Do not tread the path of destruction, but rather become genuine builders of a nation that we can all be proud of,” he noted.

Chukwunwike said crime, indecent lifestyle, cultism, and other vices, largely attributable to drug abuse, have become a significant concern for society, adding that the prevalence of such vices are detrimental to growth and development.

He stressed the importance of sensitizing youths to imbibe and espouse high moral values and hard work towards self-sustenance. Additionally, he said his administration will continue to empower individuals with artisanal skills within the council’s financial limitations.

Earlier, Okorie, the leader of the delegation, had congratulated the chairman on his re-election and appealed for the provision of an office in the council to enhance their sensitization drive against drug abuse, cultism, and other vices that endanger lives.
Okorie commended the council boss for his remarkable achievements and urged him to sustain his efforts, which will foster his elevation to higher leadership responsibilities.

The highlight of the occasion was the decoration and presentation of the council chairman as the Grand Patron of NYCN. Hon. Prince Tony K Ebube , council secretary, and government functionaries were present at the meeting.
