The All Progressives Congress (APC) has made substantial strides in consolidating its grassroots strength in Ubulu-Uku, as key party leaders gathered for a successful ward congress at Abuedo Primary School.

The congress featured prominent figures including the Executive Chairman of Aniocha South Local Government Area, Hon. Pastor Jude Chukwunwike former House of Representatives member, Rt. Hon. Joan Onyemaechi, known as Ada Anioma; and Aniocha South APC LGA Chairman, Sir Norbert Akachukwu Sochukwudinma.

Their presence marked a commitment to deepen internal democracy and fortify the party’s organizational structure in anticipation of upcoming political contests.
Among other dignitaries present were Dr. Jones Ofunne, Executive Secretary of the Local Government Education Authority, and Hon. Elo Patrick Maduemezie, the Majority Leader of the Aniocha South Legislative Arm.
Additional party stalwarts and supporters also attended.
The congress, which was noted for its peaceful and well-coordinated execution, successfully elected a new set of ward executives characterized by their commitment to advancing APC’s electoral goals in the region.
Chigbufue Uchechukwu was elected as Chairman, with Dodoh Ifeanyi Christian and Simeon Peter Olisemedua taking on the roles of Vice Chairman and Secretary, respectively. Other key elected positions included Azu Joy as Treasurer, Utulu Ngozi as Woman Leader, Okoh Clement as Youth Leader, and Azu Chukwuma as Special Leader for the Physically Challenged. Hon. Patrick Elo Maduemezie was appointed Legal Adviser, with Chukwuyem Adigwe as Financial Secretary and Onyeka Chiadika as Organizing Secretary.
Mordi Collins Chi-Chi was named Publicity Secretary, while Benedicta Isioma Afam was designated as Welfare Secretary, and Jude Uchenna Ashikodi took on the role of Auditor.
The election process also included assistant officers and ex officio members, contributing to a comprehensive and inclusive leadership framework.
The congress was monitored by officials from the Independent National Electoral Commission and state-level APC representatives to ensure adherence to party protocols.
Observers reported that the smooth conduct of the congress reflects increasing unity within the party’s local structure.
