Members and friends of God’s Kingdom Society (GKS) Ekpan Branch gathered to commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ, believed to have occurred in October over 2000 years ago.
The event featured traditional dance troupes, melodious hymns, and sermons focusing on “The just shall live by Faith” and “Was Christ Born on Christmas day?”
GKS President Brother Felix Adedokun delivered a sermon emphasizing living by faith and following sound doctrines.
Brother Adedokun noted that Scriptural timelines and research revealed that Jesus was not born on December 25th, but likely in October.
He urged Christians to search scriptures for truth and emulate Jesus’ lifestyle.
For his part the officiating minister of GKS Ekpan branch Brother Kingsley Iriferi noted that the gospel of Christ should be taught with precision as the birth of Jesus Christ is a reminder of Jehovah God’s love for mankind.
He observed that the event should bring about a sense of deep reflection on the value of Jesus Christ .
The celebration saw a young teenager reciting the Jewish calendar and how it reflects October the believed month of the birth of Jesus Christ.
The Feast of Tabernacles is Scheduled for December 14-21, 2025, in Salem City, Warri, Delta State
