EFFURUN/WARRI – Residents, traders, and motorists gathered in excitement as Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, made a triumphant drive through the ongoing construction sites of the DSC Roundabout and Enerhen Junction Flyovers, alongside the reconstruction of a section of the Warri/Sapele/Benin Road.
The atmosphere was electric as crowds praised the Governor, affectionately dubbing him “the people’s Governor” for his efforts to enhance infrastructure within the Warri/Effurun metropolis. Residents expressed their unwavering support, promising to back him in the upcoming 2027 elections while wishing him divine protection in his mission to advance Delta State.
After his walk through the Enerhen Junction site, Governor Oborevwori took questions from the press, expressing his satisfaction with the progress of the flyover and road dualization projects. He emphasized that these developments are set to alleviate traffic congestion significantly and improve residents’ quality of life.

The Governor noted that he had requested construction firm Julius Berger to temporarily open sections of the flyovers during the Christmas and New Year holidays to provide immediate traffic relief. “These areas are very important to the people,” he remarked, acknowledging the hardships faced during the ongoing construction.
Governor Oborevwori also shared encouraging news about the project timeline, anticipating that the three flyovers and related roadworks would be completed during the dry season. He commended Julius Berger for their quality workmanship, noting that few other states in Nigeria could partner with such a reputable firm on comparable projects.
In his Christmas message to the people of Delta State, he conveyed, “There is peace everywhere. I wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year. God bless you all.”
