Chairman of Bomadi local government Council, Hon Dagidi Rawlings Andaye, and his Ethiope East colleague, Hon Augustine Ogedegbe, have joined family , political associates and friends of immediate past Chairman of Ethiope East , Hon Pharm Victor Ofobrukueta , to bid his mother , late Mrs Onovwerosoke Ofobrukueta ( nee Umuruko) farewell.
The funeral service of the matriarch of the Ofobrukueta family who was aged 98 years , held on Thursday November 6th , 2025, at Okurekpo, in Ethiope East local government area of Delta State .
In his condolence message to the Ofobrukueta family , Hon Andaye described the late Mrs Ofobrukueta as a devoted mother and respected community leader
The Bomadi Council Chairman while noting that mama lived a fruitful and fulfilled life , said the matriarch of the Ofobrukueta family was well known for her milk of human kindness , hospitality, and above all, her unwavering dedication to Christian values and total obedience to her maker
The Delta State Association of Local Government Chairman of Nigeria ( ALGON) Secretary , encouraged the Ofobrukueta family to take solace in the impactful and fulfilled life of service to humanity , coupled with a legacy of love, faith and integrity lived by mama, abiding virtues which will continue to inspire generations to come in Okurekpo community and beyond
In his response , the son of the late Mrs Ofobrukueta and immediate past Chairman of Ethiope East, Hon ( Pharm) Victor Ofobrukueta , thanked Hon Andaye for his consolatory words , describing them as “a soothing balm that will help the entire family bear the transition to glory of our beloved mother “.
The funeral service of Mama Ofobrukueta attracted notable political and community leaders , clergy and we’ll wishers from across the state , who gathered in one accord , to honour and celebrate a woman who lived a life dedicated to the service of God and humanity.
