The Executive Chairman of Bomadi Local Government council ,Hon. Dagidi Rawlings Andaye, has warned that the Local Government under his watch will be a “no-go area” for peace and security threats, veiled or otherwise.
The Bomadi Council Boss was strident while addressing Ezebiri Community leaders over the lingering crisis engulfing the area, which has led to loss of lives, destruction of property, as well as the apprehension of some individuals allegedly linked to the mayhem.
In a decisive move to restore lasting peace, Bomadi council Chairman charged the Chairman of Ezebiri Community, Mr. Broderick Aeroplane, the Youth President and the Amayanabo to ensure peace return to the community.
Hon. Andaye asked the community leadership and youths to put the past behind them and embrace peace, dialogue and reconciliation. He warned that his administration would not tolerate actions capable of threatening the peace and security of the Local Government, stressing that peace remains the indispensable foundation for sustainable development.
The Chairman further appealed to all parties to exercise restraint and work collectively in the interest of the community, assuring them that his administration would continue to take every necessary step to promote peace, security and harmonious coexistence across Bomadi Local Government Area.
Mr. Broderick Aeroplane, Ezebiri Community Chairman, thanked the Executive Chairman for his quick intervention, noting that his timely action had restored peace and calm to the community. The Youth President and the Amayanabo equally appreciated Hon. Andaye for his commitment to peace and expressed their resolve to sustain the peace now restored to Ezebiri.
They assured the Chairman of their collective commitment to reconciliation and peaceful coexistence, while calling on all sons and daughters of Ezebiri to unite and work together for the progress and development of the community.
The intervention marks another significant step in Hon. Andaye’s administration’s determination to maintain peace and create a secure environment where communities across Bomadi Local Government Area can thrive and pursue meaningful development.
