A Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP ) Warri South Local Government Council chairmanship aspirant , Deacon Ejiro Ibuakevwe has promised to promote the MORE Agenda of Governor Sheriff Francis Oborevwori for the people of Warri South Local Government Area if elected into office.
Ibuakevwe made the promise during his formal declaration for the number one political seat in Warri South Local Government Area in his home ward of Edjeba Ward 10 on Thursday 11th January, 2024.
Ibuakevwe who is the Oghwuvwie ( President ) of the Agbarha Warri Community of Edjeba stressed the need for the unity among the three Warri South indigenous ethnic groups of Urhobo, Itsekiri and Ijaw in order to harness the potentials of Warri South Local Government Area for the benefit of the people.
Ibuakevwe who is a member of the prestigious Agbarha Warri League also promised to implement programs for the empowerment of the youths, women and the aged of the area in line with Governor Oborevwori ‘ s MORE Agenda if he becomes the chairman of Warri South Local Government Council.
He emphasized that he will meaningfully engaged youths of the local government area with programmes that put them out of the streets and shun vices.
Ibuakevwe therefore solicited for the support of members of the PDP in his home ward of Edjeba and indeed the local government area as he expressed confidence that if he emerges as the party candidate in the primaries, he will win the contest with his laudable manifestos.
In his response, the Chairman of PDP Edjeba Ward 10 Warri South Local Government Area, Chief Dickson Obirenfoju lauded Deacon Ejiro Ibuakevwe for vying for the chairmanship seat of Warri South Local Government Council just as he noted that Deacon Ibuakevwe was the first aspirant from the ward in the contest that has formally declared his interest.
Obirenfoju who bears the title of Omamomo of Agbarha Warri kingdom, urged Ibuakevwe to be a good ambassador of PDP Edjeba Ward 10 if he wins the contest.
While praying for Deacon Ibuakevwe, Chief Obirenfoju strongly advised that Ibuakevwe should keep to his promise of implementing the MORE Agenda of Governor Oborevwori.
The Chairman of Edjeba Warri Community, beaded and looking Oscar Tudjele who spoke at the event, was full of praises for the six footer Warri South Local Government Council chairmanship aspirant for his Laudable achievements recorded so far as the Oghwuvwie ( President) of Edjeba Warri Community .
Oscar Tudjele listed the laudable achievements of Ibuakevwe as the president of Edjeba Warri Community so far just as he expressed confidence that if Ibuakevwe is elected into office as chairman of Warri South Local Government Council, he also will excel.
Representatives of a cross section of Edjeba Warri Community who also spoke at the event, corroborated the attestations of Oscar Tudjele.
Some members of the Delta State ruling political party in GRA Ward 5 Warri South Local Government Area led by Hon Geoffrey Dibofa ( JP) also attested to the good quality leadership of Deacon Ejiro Ibuakevwe at the event.
They described Ibuakevwe as a detribalized , humble and grassrooted politician that is capable of implementing Governor Oborevwori ‘ s MORE Agenda in the interest of the three Warri indigenous ethnic groups if he becomes the chairman of Warri South Local Government Council.
High point of the event was a special prayer said for Deacon Ibuakevwe by the Chairman PDP Edjeba Ward 10 Warri South Local Government Area, Chief Dickson Obirenfoju.
Ibuakevwe later played host to guests in a superb reception at his family compound in Edjeba Warri Community.
