The chairperson of Aniocha South Local Government, Mrs Ella Jude Chukwunwike , joined women across the world to celebrate the 2026 International Women’s Day in a colourful gathering held at the Dome Event Center, Asaba.

Mrs Chukwunwike thanked the first lady of Delta State Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori for empowering women and putting smiles on the faces of indigent women across the 25 local government areas .

She was accompanied by the Vice Chairman of Aniocha South Local Government, Hon Patricia Ekwutozam Adolue, the Aniocha South APC Women Leader, Mrs Eunice Otuya Nwoko, as well as other women leaders and members from the local government.

The celebration brought together women from the 25 local governments in Delta State to reflect on the strength, resilience, and invaluable contributions of women to society.
It also served as a moment to reaffirm the commitment to empowering women and promoting their active participation in leadership, governance, and community development.
