The President General of Uvwie General Improvement Union (UGIU) Chief Abovi Hope Erute has asserted that Governor Sheriff Francis Oborevwori’s administration was ordained by God for the development of Delta State.
He made the assertion in a media chat with our correspondent on Governor Oborevwori ‘ s Supreme Court victory at the weekend.
Erute who is a member of Delta State Advisory And Peace Building Council noted that within a short period, the Governor Oborevwori’s administration has provided basic infrastructures that were deserved by Deltans .
He therefore urged Deltans to expect more meaningful development from Governor Oborevwori ‘ s administration.
Erute however urged Deltans to reciprocate the gesture by paying their taxes and support Governor Oborevwori and if they do, they will get more meaningful developments from Governor Oborevwori’s administration.
He had remarked that the jubilation of the Supreme Court victory cut across Delta State as he noted that members of the All Progressive Congress ( APC) even celebrated it .
” This is an indication that there is no opposition in Delta State.
” If they say that there is an opposition , then they should embrace Governor Oborevwori ‘ s administration; an administration ordained by God for the development of Delta State.
” If those who fear God are in authority, the people rejoice ” he added.
Erute had earlier gave kudos to Supreme Court on its verdict in favour of Governor Sheriff Francis Oborevwori.
” People were afraid because of what Nigeria was turning to.
” But the Supreme Court has shown that the judiciary is the last hope of the common man ” he added
