The Executive Chairman of Uvwie Local Government Council, Chief Anthony Ofoni on Friday joined the Executive Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori to the inauguration ceremony of the Niger Delta Development Commission , NDDC Delta State Warri Office .
Speaking shortly after the inauguration of the new NDDC State Office in Warri, Chief Ofoni noted that Governor Oborewvori’s led Administration has attracted development to the state .
He stated that the NDDC new structure is a symbol of renewed collaboration between the Federal and State Governments aimed at attracting more development to the state thereby improving the lives of Deltans.
Chief Ofoni thanked Governor Oborevwori for Seeking Partnership with NDDC to Fix Federal Roads in Niger Delta region .
He recalled that few days ago Governor Oborewvori
approved ₦35.7 billion for the reconstruction of the Warri/Sapele/Benin Road by Effurun Roundabout, from Spare Parts Market, to after Ohore junction, an essential link connecting Delta to Bayelsa, Rivers, and Cross River States.
Acknowledging the good work of the state Governor ,Chief Ofoni announced that the Airport Road in Effurun would be named as “Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori Way” in recognition of his vision and enduring legacy.
The ceremony was attended by Chairman Senate Committee on NDDC, Senator Asuquo Ekpenyong and Chairman House Committee on NDDC, Hon.
