Founder and General Overseer of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM), Dr. Daniel Olukoya, has explained the spiritual significance behind the popular “Die by Fire” prayer often associated with the ministry.
This was contained in a post via his verified Facebook handle on Saturday.
According to him, the phrase is not a literal call for harm but a spiritual declaration directed against negative forces believed to hinder a person’s destiny.
He described it as a prayer that calls for divine intervention to destroy “evil plantations, stubborn problems, and opposing forces.”
He noted that the prayer is rooted in biblical principles of spiritual warfare, where believers invoke God’s power to overcome darkness, oppression, and affliction.

“‘Die by Fire’ is a command for divine judgment against the works of darkness and a release of heaven’s power to enforce freedom,” he explained.
The cleric emphasised that when prayed with understanding, faith, and holiness, it becomes a potent spiritual tool capable of breaking yokes, silencing afflictions, and paving the way for restoration and victory.
Olukoya added that the prayer reflects themes of deliverance, authority, and triumph in Christ, encouraging believers to engage it not as mere words, but as a faith-driven act of spiritual authority.
The “Die by Fire” prayer, TRIBUNE ONLINE gathered, remains one of the most recognised expressions within MFM’s prayer style, symbolising an aggressive stance against spiritual challenges and a deep reliance on divine power for victory.
