The formal Head of Station ( HOS ) Field Office , Ministry of Information , Uvwie Local Government Area Comrade Ambrose Ologide has stated that passion and dedication were essential traits in successful journalism .
He stated this in his speech during a sent forth party held in his honour by officers of Field Office of Uvwie Local Government Council, Effurun Uvwie Local Government Area on Wednesday 5th April, 2023 .
Ologide advised information officers to have passion and dedication in the discharge of their duties if they were disarious to excel in journalism .
” I have been writing stories right from my primary school days because I have passion for writing and I also put in my best in my chosen profession “, he added
He appreciated the Uvwie field officers for organizing such a surprise party in his honor adding that he least expected such a wonderful and surprise show of love.
The Head of Internal Audit, Okpe Local Government Council , Orerokpe Mrs Maureen Edema , the Deputy Director of National Orientation , Uvwie Local Government Area Mrs Blessing Oyem, an Assistant Director Youths Development in the local government council Mrs Dora Gbebor, Secretary Delta State Commission, Mrs Samira Ebru , a relation of Ambrose Ologide , Chief Ejiro Erifevieme, the Vice President of Agbarha Warri League Chief Mrs Tessy Amogbokpa and other guests including officers of the ministry in the local government council poured encomiums on the retired Assistant Director of Information ( ADI ) who they described as hard working, versatile , dedicated journalist and a humble and forthright personality.
The guests were full of praises for Uvwie Officers for honouring Comrade Ologide in such a wonderful way.
In his brief response, an elated Comrade Ologide expressed his heartfelt appreciation to the field officers for the gesture.
He promised to always identified with the officers and indeed the Delta State Ministry of Information.
Ologide also expressed appreciation to his relations and other guests who graced the epoc making event even on a short notice.
High points of the event were the cutting of the diamond birthday anniversary cake of the ace journalist and presentation of a giant industrial standing fan to Comrade Ologide by the Uvwie field officers.
