Rotary Club of Effurun City Center, in collaboration with a Councillor in Uvwie local government , Hon. Igho Sharp Ighomrore, made a significant donation to the women of Urhumarho community.
The event saw the distribution of bags of mini pack rice, wrappers, and cash donations to hundreds of women, bringing joy to the community.
Actual News Correspondent reports that over 400 women gathered to receive the generous gifts, which were presented during the event attended by Rotarians from various clubs, Politicians, well-wishers of Igho Ighomrore amongst others.

Councillor Ighomrore, who is also the President of the Rotary Club of Effurun City Center celebrated his birthday by giving back to the community, stating, “The best way to celebrate is to empower others, especially the elderly women in our community.”

He emphasized that the initiative aligns with Rotary International’s focus on Community Economic Development.
He added that collaborating with Rotary Club of Effurun City Center was to increase the items so that more persons will benefit from the items .
Rotarian Joy Onwuka, the club’s foundation chairperson highlighted the importance of empowering individuals and communities, affirming the club’s commitment to enhancing the lives of the needy through ongoing projects and support initiatives.

She added that when the idea was brought to the fellowship,it was adopted by members because it was another opportunity to put smiles on the faces of the people in their mandate area.

CSP Temi Zuokumor, the divisional police officer from Ugborikoko Police Station, who is also a Past Assistant Governor, Rotary International District 9141 attended the event and took the opportunity to advise parents to closely monitor their children’s friendships to deter involvement in negative influences.
