Rotary club of Effurun City Center District 9141 on Tuesday marked three years of existence with milestone achievements to reflect Rotary international’s seven areas of focus aimed at improving lives within and outside its mandate area.
Our correspondent Reports that the three years anniversary featured induction of Eleven new members.
Rotary club of Effurun City center is one of the youngest clubs in District 9141.
Members of the club can beat their chest that they have done well so far so good in realizing the core focus of Rotary International,These include Education and mass literacy, community economic empowerment, water and sanitation, vocational training, peace and conflict resolution.
Others are maternal and child health Care, disease prevention and treatment.
Starting with a 25 persons membership the figure quickly rose to 44 under the current President, Rotarian Crimson Ikpade.
Club President, Rotarian Ikpade Crimson noted that the club had experienced steady growth and carried out various humanitarian works with the support of members
The President of the club believes they have performed excellently in humanitarian activities.
She cited the provision of writing materials to Ogbe secondary school as the begining of the club’s outreaches which depeened the connection between the club and the community.
Appreciating members of the club,the president Rotarian Crimson Ikpade commended the chartered president Rotarian Patrick Ighomrore for his dedication and commitment to Rotary activities noting that the club had achieved much due to his inputs.
The chartered president, Rotarian Patrick Ighomrore commented members for their love for humanity, reinterating that the essence of Rotary is to contribute positively to the world.
He called on members to keep the spirit of unity in pushing the club forward recounted for them the benefits of Rotary membership.
Rotarian Patrick Ighomrore admonished the eleven new members to be guided by Rotary’s four way test and remain worthy ambassadors.
At the anniversary eleven new members were inducted by the president of the Rotary club of edjeba, Rotarian Sunny Oveisi .
The inductees expressed happiness for the opportunity given them to contribute their quota to the growth of humanity through with their time, energy and resources.
