Rotary club of Effurun GRA Thursday donated Packs of Diapers to Ekpan General Hospital, Ekpan in Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State for onward delivery to Nursing mothers.
The President of the club Rotarian Friday Togbe said the Diapers were to help mothers who cannot afford to buy the items or those struggling to get them.
President of Rotary Club of Effurun GRA , Rotarian Togbe while presenting the Packs of Diapers to the Executive Administration officer in Ekpan hospital, Mrs Joy Azosibe appealed to her to give the items to the nurses as soon as the Nationwide strike is suspended for onward delivery to the nursing mothers especially those with infants.
He specifically reminded the executive Administration officer that when sharing the Diapers they should consider those who cannot afford the item first before those who can afford it.

Rotarian Togbe assured the hospital management that the Club would do more to support mothers and children in line with one of the seven areas of focus of Rotary International which is maternal and child health care .
While appealing for collaboration from other humanitarian organizations in order to provide help to the needy in the society , Rotarian Togbe stated that the club would continue to put smiles on the faces of the less privileged in their mandate areas.
Also speaking, the immediate Past President of the club, Rotarian Linus Albert , a Past President of the club and Public Image chairman Rotarian Benjamin Usiora and the Project chairman of the Club Rotarian Dickson Adebisi noted that the gesture was part of Rotary way of giving back to society, particularly those in their environment.
They noted that the visit to Ekpan General Hospital was also to appreciate and encourage mothers and their babies and to let them know that despite the economic situation, they should not lose hope.
In her response, the Executive Administration officer Mrs Joy Azosibe expressed happiness over the gesture and thanked the Rotary club of Effurun GRA pledging to deliver the diapers to the nurses when the strike is over .
