Rotary Club Of Effurun, District 9141 has installed Rotarian Elvis Omoifo Irefo as the 41st President.
The installation ceremony which was held at Great Hall, Chevron Recreation Center Warri in Warri South local government area of Delta State was witnessed by Rotarians and friends of the club.
The newly installed President Rotarian Elvis Omoifo Irefo said the club has earmarked the sum of 50 million naira to execute it’s community Service projects for the year 2025/2026 .

Rotarian Irefo appealed to Rotarians and friends of the club to donate generously for the successful execution of the projects .
He highlighted the projects for the year to include Polio monthly Exercise, Training of young men and women in different vocations, Tree planting to beautify the major streets in the communities and its environs,Adults literacy school programmes, Water borehole projects in some communities, maternal and child health, Building of District Training Center, amongst others.
Earlier in her valedictory speech ,the immediate Past President of Rotary Club of Effurun, Rotarian Florence Chukwuebuni stated that the club received several honours during her tenure as the 40th President of the club , including the Rotary international Excellence award and District awards following the club’s execution of several projects that aligned with Rotary’s 7 areas of focus.

The immediate Past President highlighted some projects executed during her tenure to include Vocational training on five skills programme for 100 individuals at the club’s Vocational Training Centre in Ebrumede, donation of 2 mono pump water boreholes to Mammi 4 In Effurun which catered for the needs of over 600 Individual, donation of writing materials to students of JSS 1 to 3 of Alegbor secondary school Effurun,donation of Delivery kits to 40 pregnant women at Alaka health centre in Uvwie local Government area,collaborated with two other clubs to donate food stuff to 600 households , 1000 free medical diagnosis and treatment, donation of mosquito nets and clothing to 1000 individuals, Empowerment of 10 Petty traders with 100,000 each to support their business amongst others.
Rotarian Florence Chukwuebuni urged members of the club to give the needed support to the newly installed president, Rotarian Elvis Irefo, assuring that he will build on the achievements so far and take the club to a new heights.
The special Guest of Honour Rotarian George Owarieta in his lecture informed guests at the installation ceremony about activities of Rotary international and Rotary Club of Effurun.

Rotarian Owarieta appealed to friends of the club and guests to contribute generously to the execution of the club projects for the year 2025/2026.
For his Part the chairman of the event ,Mr Emmanuel Okudor who after observing the activities of Rotary informed the gathering that he will become a Rotarian so as to serve humanity more , adding that he has been giving out scholarship to students inorder to reduce the financial burden on their parents.
