The Rotary club of Warri Central, District 9141 on Sunday installed as its 5th president, Rotarian Isioma Uwagbai for the 2024/2025 Rotary Year.
The Investiture ceremony had Chief Ayiri Emami as Chairman of the occasion, represented by his brother Chief Thomas Emami, Rotary’s Assistant District Governors, Club presidents, Captains of industry,Friends of Rotary ,colleagues amongst others in attendance to support the club’ s project and programmes aimed at improving society and pushing the boundaries of Rotary international humanitarian course.
Immediate past president of the club, Rtn Okumagba Obadajire in his valedictory speech appreciated club members for their support during his year noting that despite the challenges, the club in his year was able to carry out project of immerse benefits to the benefiting communities, emphasizing a better year for the new president to raise the standard in the best interest of the general public.
In his remarks, the Assistant District Governor, zone 9 Rtn. Sunny Emeyese congratulated the new president of Rotary club of warri central adding that the investiture goes to prove Rotary’s commitment to putting smiles on the face of people in society.
The installation committee chairperson Rtn. Tobrise Efetobore and guest speaker of the installation ceremony Rtn Michael Enehizena said Rotary is all about service to humanity.
They called for more membership inorder for better impact as Rotary international is about service above self.
Newly installed president of the Rotary club of warri central, Rotarian Isioma Uwagbai appreciated the club for the opportunity to serve assuring greater commitment to the ideals of Rotary.
Rtn Uwagbai while reeling out projects for the year called for support as the project are reflections of the Rotary’s international seven areas of focus .
The ceremony was climaxed with Fund raising for the 2024/2025 projects and programmes for the club, Presentation of Awards to distinguished Rotarians and frienda of the club ,Induction of new members as well as the installation of Rtn Isioma Uwagbai as 5th President.
