Rotary Club of Warri Central has provided free medical tests for Okere Urhobo community members, offering prostate screenings for men over 40 and HPV tests for women over 25.

The event, held at the Ogwan Olodi Hall in Okere Urhobo community, Warri South local Government Area of Delta State saw 100 participants take advantage of the health services.

The club president,
Rotarian Efetobore Tobrise, emphasized the importance of health, stating that the initiative aims to prevent prostate and cervical cancers. “These tests align with Rotary International’s focus on disease control and prevention,” she said.

Tobrise encouraged residents of Okere Urhobo community and neighboring communities to regularly check their health status to combat life-threatening diseases.

Immediate Past President of the Club and project chairman, Rotarian Isioma Uwagbai, urged men to check their Prostate health and women to monitor their HPV status, advising those with abnormal results to consult a physician.
