Samuel Erivwo foundation has dismissed the impression being created in the minds of youths that education is scam through it’s yearly quiz and Debate competition for Secondary School students in Ughelli North local government area of Delta State.
Students from Eleven schools Participated in the competition held at Iwhre-inene Town , Ughelli.
Samuel Erivwo foundation was birthed by very Reverend professor Samuel Erivwo of blessed memory in 2014 with the aim of inspiring young students to become better people in the society through education.

Speaking to Newsmen the coordinator of Samuel Erivwo foundation,Mr Onoride Matthew noted that the vision of the Samuel Erivwo foundation is to impact lives positively in various areas to include provision of scholarship to students ,providing food to the congregation of One of the Anglican Church in Iwhre-inene, quarterly medical outreach for the people of the community,charity support funds amongst others .

He also revealed that the late Very Reverend professor Samuel Erivwo influenced the establishment of the primary and secondary schools in Iwhre-inene community.
He revealed that the quiz and Debate competition is part of the vision of the founder to empower students and encouraged them to take their studies seriously.
The students debate on topics such as
“The future of the work force ,will Artificial intelligence replace human jobs ,Digital learning: should traditional in person lectures be replaced by digital learning.
At the end of the debate competition Masters Mukoro Ray and Emmanuel Isibor of Government College Ughelli emerged first position and were gifted the sum of Eighty thousand naira and their teacher got thirty thousand naira , Omuvwie and Bankole of Busy brains modern school took second position and were presented with the sum of sixty thousand while their teacher got twenty-five thousand naira, Stephen and Evelyn of Ekuigbo grammar school took the third position and got thirty thousand naira while their teacher got twenty thousand naira.
For the quiz competition inifome Friday emerged winner and got seventy thousand naira while her teacher got thirty thousand naira,second position went to Wilfred Goodluck of St Francis school and won fifty thousand naira while his teacher got twenty-five thousand naira, lawson Etakeferaye of Afiesere secondary school took the third position got twenty five thousand naira while his teacher received twenty thousand naira .
Samuel Erivwo foundation also gave prizes to the best two male speakers and a female speaker .
The Chief inspector of education Ughelli North local government Mrs Jane Aigboboh was Represented by the schedule officer for competition Ughelli North field office Mrs Ughweroghene Lahai who thanked Samuel Erivwo foundation for organizing the competition and commended the teachers that prepared the students for the competition .
Also speaking the teachers also thanked the organizers for encouraging hard work amongst the students
