African Democratic Congress ( ADC ) in Warri South Local Government Area have staged a solidarity procession in their numbers for Chief Great Ovedje Ogboru in some major streets of Warri on Wednesday 1st April, 2026.
They carried placards condemning a protest that was held the previous day against Chief Ogboru by some group of persons claiming to be members of the party in the state.
A spoke person of ADC solidarity procession for Chief Ogboru, Comrade Ezekiel Olugbo who spoke to our correspondent during the procession, affirmed that the solidarity procession was held in response to the said protest against Chief Ogboru the previous day.
Olugbo accused the said protesters of making false allegations against Chief Ogboru , maligned and used vogue words against him in the process.
Olugbo who is a 7 man member of the sterling committee of the coalition of political parties under ADC in Warri South Local Government Area, stated that Chief Great Ovedje Ogboru was among the Delta State 7man sterling set up by the coalition political parties at the national level in Abuja and that no member of the said sterling committee has authority over the coalition in Delta State ” even at that, our great leader , Chief Ogboru has the criteria of a being a member of the sterling committee” he added
Olugbo also alleged that the person who the protesters fronted for , does not have the criteria of being a member of the sterling committee in 7 man committee set up by the coalition in Delta State ” he is a member of Obedient Group” he added.

Olugbo therefore urged ADC members and supporters in Delta State, to ignore the allegations made against Chief Ogboru as he stressed that Chief Ogboru is a trusted and tested political leader .
