Creative Demonstration School, 1st Marine Gate, Warri held its 6th Interhouse sports competition on Thursday 2nd April, 2026 .
The Inter house sports competition did not only featured field and track events but also also featured a football match.
The Interhouse sports competition also drew pupils, students, management, staff, parents and invited guests together in a joyful and colourful way.
In his opening remarks, the chairman of the occasion , Hon ( Pastor) Joseph Otiirhue stated among other things that sport is one of the greatest engagement in academic pursuit and that it is not only about winning medals but keeping the body physically and mentally fit for good health.
The Executive Director of Projects on the board of the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission ( DESOPADEC) Dr ( Olorogun) Ebenezer Okorodudu ( JP) who is a special guest of honour at the Inter house sports competition, in his eloquent speech, noted that when people are growing up, there are certain activities that they are identified with them and that in the educational sector, Inter house sports competition is one of the most significant activity.
Okorodudu noted that the Proprietress of Creative Demonstration School Warri, Chief ( Mrs ) Tessy Esievo-Torru is a resourceful, dependable and hardworking personality and therefore expressed no surprise that her school is doing fine in academics and sports.
He congratulated the pupils and students for their show of sportsmanship. Okorodudu also thanked the management and staff of the famous school for putting up a successful Interhouse sports competition.
The Chairman Parents And Teachers Association ( PTA ) of the School, Pharmacist ( Mrs ) Hilda Igberedjor also commended the pupils and students for showcasing their talents in sporting activities in a wonderful way. She also noted that all the competitors are winners.
On her part, the Proprietress of the school, Chief ( Mrs ) Tessy Esievo – Torru affirmed that sport is an important aspect of learning. While also congratulating the competitors, she expressed appreciation to staff and teachers of the school for making the event a huge success. Chief ( Mrs ) Esievo – Torru was especially full of appreciation to parents and guests who honoured her school with their presence at the event.
High point of the memorable sporting event was the presentation of medals to winners .Crystal ( Yellow) , Emerald ( Green) , Indigo ( Purple) and Ruby ( Red ) houses came first, second, third and fourth respectively.
