The grand finale also featured an exciting dress rehearsal match between the Eghweya’s and the Emete’s, which ended in a narrow 1–0 victory for the Eghweya team.
Played before a massive crowd of jubilant supporters at the Ogunu Township field, the final lived up to its expectations as both teams showcased grit, skill, and tactical discipline throughout the match.

The event featured a formal trophy presentation to the victorious State League team, amid cheers and the awarding of medals to the Chairman of the Ogunu community, Sir Newton Ayiwe, as well as musical performances.
Community leaders, including Sir Newton Ayiwe and Chief Vincent Okudolor, praised the peaceful conduct of the competition, noting that the Chairman’s Cup has fostered unity, youth empowerment, and sports development in Ogunu. They also promised an even bigger and more competitive tournament in future editions.
