The Chairman of Warri South local government, Comrade Weyinmi Agbateyiniro has given an account of his activities and achievements in the last one year to Warri South legislative arm .
Comrade Agbateyiniro thanked the members of the legislative arm and his executive for their support which gave room for development in the past one year .
Agbateyiniro while reeling out his performance after one year in office revealed that last year he unveiled his manifesto christened the more Grace agenda as a contract to the people of Warri South local government area for the confidence reposed in him through a resounding victory, stressing that the more grace agenda has snowballed to more development in the area .
He highlighted some of his programmes , policies and achievements to include Beautification of the Ogunu bypass and erection of the keep Warri clean statue, employment of 150 road sweepers , award of scholarship to students , twenty thousand naira monthly allowance each to people living with disabilities, widows,senior citizens ,10 million naira market traders revolving loan scheme for all markets in Warri South ,amongst others.
The Warri council Boss Comrade Agbateyiniro revealed that the council has commenced the reconstruction of over 73 shops razed by fire at igbudu market recently.
He added that the Warri South legislative arm has passed various bills into law to include a bye law to prohibit pasting of posters on road separators kerbs,,road pavement and flyover bridges in the council area , the Warri South review tariff 2025 and fines, the prosecution of road traffic violators and Warri South local government property and investment development board.
The leader of the Warri South legislative arm Hon Joy Ejimudo commended the chairman of Warri South local government, Comrade Agbateyiniro for his impactful service delivery to the people of Warri South .
Members of the legislative arm later passed a vote of confidence in President Bola Tinubu , Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and chairman Warri South local government, comrade Weyinmi Agbateyiniro
Meanwhile Chairman Warri South local government, Comrade Weyinmi Agbateyiniro in a thanksgiving thanked God for his blessings and wisdom to pilot the affairs of the council .
He also thanked the people of Warri South for sustaining the peace in the area and pledged to erect a chapel in the council secretariat before the End of his tenure .
In a sermon titled “Grace to finish strong,” Secretary of CAN Warri South Chapter Rev Timothy Arhiphrure prayed God to give the council chairman the grace to carry out more developmental projects in the area .
