EFFURUN – The Senator representing Delta Central Senatorial District, Senator Ede Dafinone, has called on the newly inaugurated executives of the Okpe, Sapele, and Uvwie (OSU) Federal Constituency Political Forum, Uvwie Chapter, to begin aggressive grassroots mobilization for President Bola Tinubu and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Speaking during the formal inauguration held at Alegbo Primary School in Uvwie Local Government Area, Senator Dafinone expressed confidence in the All Progressives Congress (APC) securing victory in the forthcoming polls.
He noted that although President Tinubu inherited a struggling economy, his administration has taken “bold steps” to revive the nation’s fortunes.
“The President stopped the decline of our nation by removing the fuel subsidy and ending the dual exchange rate system, which allowed a few individuals to get rich at the expense of the masses,” Dafinone stated.

He further described Tinubu as the “most prepared and qualified” leader Nigeria has ever elected.
Turning his attention to state politics, the lawmaker praised Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for attracting significant development to Delta State, asserting that his performance justifies a second term.
He urged party members to remain united to ensure the “M.O.R.E Agenda” continues to reach the grassroots.
Senator Dafinone also commended the National Coordinator of the OSU Forum, Chief Solomon Ighrakpata, for fostering unity and community development within the constituency.
During the ceremony, Chief Ighrakpata officially inaugurated the Uvwie chapter led by Chief Anthony Ofoni.
He charged the new leadership to focus on total victory for both the President and the Governor in 2027.
In his acceptance speech, the newly minted Uvwie Coordinator, Chief Anthony Ofoni, pledged to operate an inclusive administration. “My team is committed to ensuring that we mobilize every corner of this local government to deliver victory for President Tinubu and Governor Oborevwori,” Ofoni said.
The event was attended by high-profile stakeholders, including Chief Efe Uko, Olorogun Kingsley Esiso, Hon. Edafe Emakpor, Hon. James Augoye, Hon. Perkins Umukoro, and Hon. Evelyn Oboro, alongside various political pressure groups and youth representatives.
