Aniocha South local Government chairman,Jude chukwunwike has donated the sum of N1,000,000 cash to Abuedo Football Club, champions of Ubulu-Uku League for the fourth consecutive year.
Pastor chukwunwike made the donation when he received
the victorious team led by its head coach, Mr. Iwelu Ozulu in his office .
Abuedo Football Club Was crowned champions at the grande finale of the competition held on the 1st of January, 2025.
“I am particularly pleased with the cheery news of bringing the Trophy back to Abuedo since 2021 that I assumed the leadership of the council till date”chukwunwike stated .
Aniocha South Council Boss Noted that nothing is as sweet as victory after a keenly contested battle to become champions.
He added that their victory has energized him to always be supportive of sports.
While rewarding the team with a cash gift of N1,000, 000 , Pastor Jude chukwunwike pledged to continue to support grassroot sports development in the area .
