The Executive Chairman of Aniocha South Local Government, Hon. Pastor Jude Chukwunwike , on Monday received a delegation of his kinsmen from Ubulu-Uku Ward 5 who paid him a courtesy visit to celebrate his remarkable one-year anniversary in office.
The delegation, led by the All Progressives Congress (APC) executives from Ward 5, was warmly received at the council secretariat in Ogwashi-Uku.
The visit was both a show of solidarity and an appreciation of the council chairman’s developmental achievements and inclusive leadership style.

In his remarks, Hon. Pastor Chukwunwike, a proud son of Ubulu-Uku, described the ongoing political realignments—particularly the merger of APC and PDP—as a divine orchestration aimed at easing the path toward a peaceful and successful 2027 general election.
“Man proposes, but God disposes,” the chairman said, emphasizing that the prevailing unity and calm across party lines in Delta State is not by accident but a God-inspired move to promote peace, development, and good governance.
He urged the APC leadership in Ward 5 to remain ambassadors of unity and to avoid actions or rhetoric that could sow discord within the party or the community. “This is the time to deepen our commitment to building bridges, not walls,” he noted, while charging the ward leaders to begin a robust grassroots campaign to promote the ideals of the APC in line with Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s MORE Agenda and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope vision.
Earlier in his address, the spokesman of the visiting delegation, Mr. Pius Momah, expressed profound gratitude to Hon. Chukwunwike for his open-door policy and people-focused governance. He lauded the council chairman for what he described as “visible and impactful leadership” within just one year in office.
Mr. Momah highlighted key developmental projects under Chukwunwike’s administration, including the building of the Ubulu-Uku Divisional Police Station, improvements in road visibility and infrastructure, rehabilitation of the general hospital, construction of local markets across the three clans, aggressive fight against insecurity, and farmers’ empowerment programmes among others.
He also praised the chairman’s listening ears and humility, noting that “Hon. Chukwunwike has remained accessible, articulate, and responsive to the needs of his people.”
On behalf of the APC Ward 5 leadership, Mr. Momah congratulated the chairman on his anniversary milestone and prayed for divine wisdom and strength to continue his good work in the remaining two years of his tenure.
The event also featured a solemn remark from the APC Ward 5 Chairman, Mr. Isaac Molokwu, who urged Hon. Chukwunwike to remain resolute in the face of distractions and unwarranted criticism. “Sir, the people of Aniocha South are with you. Don’t be deterred by naysayers. Keep your focus on service and transformation,” he advised.
The courtesy visit ended on a high note with expressions of unity, renewed commitment to party growth, and collective support for the Chukwunwike-led administration.
