The Financial Secretary of Urhobo Progress Union UPU Worldwide, Chief Simon Asite ( JP ) has added another feather to his cap as he was sworn in as a justice of the peace at High Court of Justice 1 , Effurun Uvwie Local Government Area on Tuesday 16th May, 2023 .
Before his appointment, he was the president of Delta State Association of Chambers of Commerce.
Asite who bears the exalted title of the Omamomor of the ancient Urhobo Kingdom of Evwreni , Ughelli North Local Government Area, is a chieftain of Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP ) in Ughelli North Local Government Area and a member of the prestigious Urhobo Peoples Integrity Organisation ( UPIO) .
Asite spoke to the press shortly after he was sworn in as Justice of the peace.
He thanked the Delta State Government for the appointment which he noted was an honour.
The soft spoken and good looking Evwreni chief then promised to always perform his duties as a justice of peace .
