As Delta State marks its 34th anniversary today, August 27, the Executive Chairman of Aniocha South Local Government Area, Hon. Pastor Jude Chukwunwike , has described the journey of the state since its creation as a remarkable story of resilience, progress, and transformation.
In a statement to commemorate the historic milestone, Chukwunwike extolled the visionary leadership and enduring legacies of successive administrations in the state, noting that their efforts have laid solid foundations for economic advancement, security and peace building, human capital development, as well as massive infrastructural renewal across the length and breadth of Delta.
He emphasized that the state is on a sure path of greater glory under the purposeful leadership of the Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, whose MORE Agenda has become a catalyst for inclusive growth and sustainable development.
“At 34, Delta State is a beacon of hope, not only because of what we have achieved, but also because of the greater possibilities that lie ahead. From agriculture to the real sector, from education to healthcare, from roads to social welfare, our state is undergoing a transformation that is visible and inspiring. The MORE Agenda speaks directly to our aspirations as a people, and as Deltans, we must key into this vision with patience, understanding, and unrelenting prayers,” the council boss declared.
Chukwunwike further urged all Deltans to draw strength from the Renewed Hope Agenda of the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu-led Federal Government, which aligns with the state’s development vision by creating opportunities for economic recovery, youth empowerment, and national stability. He expressed optimism that the synergy between the federal and state governments will accelerate the pace of progress, even amidst current economic challenges.
While congratulating Governor Oborevwori on behalf of his family and the good people of Aniocha South, Chukwunwike lauded the governor’s tireless commitment to service and prayed that God would grant him the wisdom, health, and courage to continue steering Delta State to enviable heights.
