The Executive Chairman of Aniocha South Local Government Area, Hon. Pastor Jude Chukwunwike, has called on Christians across the world to practice true Christianity by allowing their conduct to reflect the teachings and standards of Christ.
Pastor Chukwunwike made this appeal while hosting the leadership of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Aniocha South Chapter, at the Council Hall in Ogwashi-Uku.
He emphasized that the true identity of a Christian should not be defined merely by words or titles, but by exemplary living rooted in love, discipline, humility, and service to humanity.

He urged Christian leaders to do more in the areas of value reorientation, moral guidance, and the promotion of positive community etiquette, noting that the Church remains a powerful instrument for shaping society and nurturing responsible citizens.
The Council Chairman further encouraged Christians to continually commit those in positions of authority into prayer, stressing that sincere prayers have the power to reshape leadership mindset and inspire better management of public resources for the common good.
“I invited you today to deliver the message of His Excellency, the immediate past Governor of Delta State, Senator Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, who has directed me to reach out to you through the donation of 50 bags of rice to mark this yuletide season,” he said.
“In further support of this noble gesture by the former Governor, I am also adding the sum of N1 million to encourage the noble work of God”, Pastor Chukwunwike declared.
In a vote of thanks, the CAN Chairman, Aniocha South, Venerable Christian Okonkwo, expressed profound gratitude to God and appreciation to the former Governor for his love, generosity, and consistent support for the Christian community. He noted that Senator Okowa has continued to prioritize God throughout his journey as a public servant, describing the gesture as timely and deeply impactful.
The meeting concluded on a note of fellowship, prayers, and renewed commitment to promoting Christian values and peaceful coexistence across Aniocha South.
