The Executive Chairman of Aniocha South Local Government Area, Hon. Pastor Jude Chukwunwike , on Saturday, August 31, 2025, undertook an inspection tour of the ongoing remedial works along the strategic Isah–Ogwashi-Uku–Ubulu-Uku road corridor.
The initiative aligns with his administration’s broader strategies to enhance accessibility, boost security, and promote socio-economic activities across public highways within the local government area.
The road which serves as a major link for commuters and traders, has been prioritized to ease movement and reduce hazard often associated with bad portions of rural roads.

During the inspection, Pastor Chukwunwike was accompanied by the leader of the legislative arm, Hon. Leonard Nzemeke, Supervisory Councilor for Environment, Hon. Chika Kelly; Head of Department, Environment, Mrs. Ngozi Enubuzor; Treasurer of Council, Mr. Sunny Otighe; S.A to the Executive Chairman, Mr. John Odiaka; alongside other key appointees.
Concluding the tour, the Chairman and his team proceeded to Ogbe Ofu Quarters, where he encountered a group of spirited youths voluntarily engaging in remedial work on the community’s long-deplorable road. Visibly impressed by their resilience, selflessness, and commitment to community development, Pastor Chukwunwike commended their patriotic zeal and immediately supported their efforts with the sum of ₦500,000.
The Chairman reaffirmed his administration’s determination to bring succor to the people of Ogbe Ofu by ensuring that the road receives the much-needed facelift it deserves. He emphasized that his government will continue to adopt people-oriented interventions that blend engineering solutions with environmental sustainability, thereby addressing both immediate challenges and long-term infrastructural needs.
Pastor Chukwunwike assured constituents that his administration remains unwavering in its pursuit of a cleaner, safer, and more connected Aniocha South, one where infrastructure is not just built, but maintained with integrity and foresight.
