Nigeria Navy ship , NNS Delta on Friday released a Vessel MT Tecne used for illegal bunkering to the Economic and financial crimes commission EFCC .
The Commander, NNS Delta, Commodore Chindo Usman Yahaya, represented by the Executive Officer, Nigerian Navy Ship Delta, captain S. Paul released the vessel to EFCC representative lawan Ado following a directive from Naval headquarters .
Commodore Yahaya disclosed that MT Tecne was engaged in illegal bunkering and was seized by the Nigeria Navy On the 25th April 2017
Commodore Yahaya revealed that that the vessel had 1.905.836 MT of alleged stolen crude and handed over to EFCC for prosecution as naval headquarters directed the evacuation of the product and subsequence release of the vessel in compliance with court order .
The EFCC representative ,Mr Lawan Ado later presented the vessel MT Tecne to the new owner showboy integrated company
showboy integrated company had earlier bought the vessel during auction sales .
