A delegation of local government chairmen from across Delta State, including Hon. Pastor Jude Chukwunwike of Aniocha South, Hon. Goddey Obi Nzete of Ndokwa West, and Hon. Emma Basim Chinye of Aniocha North, have joined other eminent Deltans in expressing their condolences to Hon. Monday Odigwe, Executive Chairman of Ika North-East Local Government Area, over the death of his father-in-law, Pa Gilbert Ibegbulem.
The council chairmen, under the umbrella of the Delta State ALGON Forum, paid a condolence visit to Hon. Odigwe at his residence in Asaba, where they extended their heartfelt sympathies and offered prayers for the peaceful repose of the departed soul.
Speaking on behalf of the delegation, Hon. Obi Nzete, described the visit as a show of solidarity and support to their colleague whose father in-law died.
“We are here as colleagues and brothers to stand with our friend and fellow chairman, Hon. Monday Odigwe, during this painful period. We pray that the soul of Pa Gilbert Ibegbulem finds eternal rest and that the family finds strength to bear this loss.”Hon. Chukwunwike, Hon. Basim, and other members of the delegation echoed similar sentiments, offering words of comfort and encouragement to Hon. Odigwe and his family.
In response, Hon. Odigwe thanked the visiting chairmen for their thoughtful gesture, describing it as a great source of comfort and a reflection of the bond shared among local government leaders in Delta State.
