District 9141 Governor of Rotary international Rotarian Emeke Utebor Says Rotary club is not for the Rich but for those with the heart of charity .
DG Utebor was speaking on Wednesday while inaugurating Two water Mono pumps at Evwreni and Otor-Ogor communities , donated by Rotary Club of Evwreni as part of activities marking his visits to clubs under District 9141.
DG Utebor noted that Clean water is among the basic necessities for a healthy environment and a productive life .
The District 9141 Governor of Rotary international , Rtn Emeke Utebor told the people that clean water decreases water borne diseases.
He urged the benefitting residents to take good care of the water mono pump .
DG Utebor commended Rotary club of Evwreni which was chartered two months ago for providing clean water to some residents of Otor -Ogor and Evwreni communities
Also Speaking during the commissioning the President of Rotary club of Evwreni ,Rotarian Samuel Adjogbe, who was represented by Past District Assistant Governor , Rotarian Clementina Ejabefio
said the club decided to embarked on water project after they found out that some residents of both communities trek far distance to get water .
Rotarian Adjogbe added that the club members put their resources together inorder to provide the clean water so as to alleviate the sufferings of the people .
The indigenes of both communities were overwhelmed with joy over the donation of the water mono pump .
They prayed God to bless all the Rotarians for the gesture .
During the club Assembly , The District Governor Rtn Emeke Utebor encouraged members of Rotary club of Evwreni to keep up the good work of service to humanity despite the present day economic reality .
He also asked them to donate generously to Rotary foundation .
Also speaking Assistant District Governor , Rtn Lawrence Nwadiogbu commended members of the club for their determination to move the club to greater height.
He however appreciated the new club for embarking on two projects just two months after the birth of the club
High point of the club Assembly was the presentation of gifts to the District Governor, District Secretary and Assistant District Governor .
