Most communities in Patani Local Government Area of Delta State, have been submerged by flood.
It would be recalled that the Delta State Government had warned of imminent flooding of low areas in the state and advised residents in such areas to move to up land .
Also Nigeria Environmental Management Agency, the Nigeria Hydrological Services Agency and Nigeria Meteorological Agency had warned of imminent flooding across flood-prone Areas in the Nation .
Actual News gathered that a prominent leader in Patani Local Government Area and founding member of Peoples Democratic Party in Delta state, Raymos Guanah’s home was among the houses that was submerged by flood early morning on monday October 10,2022

Guanah, a former commissioner in Delta state, tweeted: “I have just lifted my property up.
” There is a probability of the flood entering my house as it entered almost all the houses in patani LGA.
” I have resolved to stay here with my people to see their pains first hand.
“As it now,all the communities in Patani local government area have been completely submerged.
One of the Residents that spoke to Actual News Correspondent on a Telephone chat said they are urging the state government to immediately intervene by coming to the rescue of the flood victims as well as evacuate those still living in flood-prone areas .
