Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon Sheriff Oborevwori says the State Government will continue to partner with Journalists to improve their service of dissemination of information.
Governor Oborevwori made the statement during the inauguration of NUJ Warri Correspondents chapel Press Center built and donated by High Chief Government Ekpemupolo during the NUJ Warri Correspondents chapel 2025 press week .

Owhotemu II and the Ovie of Idjerhe Kingdom a member of the chapel witnessed the event .
Governor Sheriff Oborevwori while inaugurating the newly built and furnished NUJ Press center commended the Donor, High Chief Government Ekpemupolo for the gesture urging members of the union to make good use of the center to improve on their services as journalists .
The Governor Represented by DESOPADEC Executive Director Project, Chief Ebenezer Okorodudu urged the members of the Nigeria union of Journalists Warri correspondents chapel to continue to carry out their assignment as journalists professionally as the watch dog of the society.
The managing Director of Tantita security Chief kestin Pondi represented by the Executive Director Technical and operations Capt. Warredi Enisuoh stated that when they got the project to protect pipelines it occurred to them that they should tell their stories through journalists by carrying out their civic cooperate responsibility.
He said the building of the NUJ press center didn’t come out of favour but was a necessity .
Chief Pondi stated that their request for the construction of Journalists village has been noted and
thanked NUJ Warri correspondents chapel for their support to Tantita.
National President NUJ comrade Alhassan Yahya also thanked Tantita for the gesture describing the Warri correspondents chapel press center as one of the best in the country .
Earlier the chairman of NUJ Warri correspondents Chapel Comrade Okies Okpomor commended Delta State Government and other stakeholders that have in the past helped them to pay rent before Tantita built and equipped a new press center for them .
He thanked the Managing Director of Tantita, Chief kestin Pondi for using the company to conceive , construct ,finish and equip the press center .
He appealed for the construction of journalists village with 50 units of three bedroom duplex to solve the issue of accommodation among journalists in Warri .
The event featured a Lecture with the theme “fight Against oil theft ;the impact of private security and the role of the media” by Capt Warredi Enisuoh.
The event also featured presentation of awards to distinguish personalities including Chief kestin Pondi, Hon Thomas Ereyitomi ,the Ovie of Idjerhe kingdom amongst others .
