Hussey College Warri class of ’93 on Saturday December 2,2023 held it’s 30th Anniversary in Warri , Warri South local Government Area of Delta State .
Our Correspondent Reports that during the reunion party six retired teachers were honoured for their impactful knowledge to the old students during their school days .
Speaking during the 30th anniversary the chairman of class 93 ,Mr Anthony Akarah revealed how the group was formed about 5 years ago .
He added that since then the classmates had been assisting one another in various ways through financial contributions .
Mr Akarah also revealed that 93 set has donated writing materials , fans , white boards , treated the school’s bore hole water and recently donated Public address system as well as provide cash donation to best performing students of various classes .
The Acting chairman of the 30th Anniversary planning committee , Prince Toju Emiko while welcoming guests and classmate for attending the event noted that the reunion party was put together to mark the 30th Anniversary since they graduated from Hussey College Warri .
Also speaking the secretary of the planning committee,Comrade Daniel Oji thanked members of the group for contributing their time and resources to ensure a successful Anniversary .
For his part, President of Hussey college warri old students Association warri Branch and chairman of the occasion ,Brother Benjamin Akpasubi while commending members of Hussey college warri class of 93 for organizing the 30th reunion party thanked them for honouring some of their retired Teachers .
The retired Teachers that were honoured during the event include, Mr Slyvester Akra, Mrs Gloria Umuago, Mr Henry Odhomi , Pastor Godfrey Oghanranduku, Mr Ikpuri and Mr Lucky Ariko
One after the other the Retired Teachers commended class of 93 Hussey college warri for the honour and prayed God to continue to bless them financially .
The reunion party of Hussey college class of 93 brought back fond memories amongst classmates .
A minute silence was observed for classmates who had passed on .
