Tension grips Residents of Ogbe-Ijoh community , Warri South West local Government Area and Aladja Community, Udu Local Government Area as suspected hoodlums from Ogbe-Ijoh Community in the early hours of Wednesday attacked and shot into Aladja Community.
Details as to the cause of the latest shootings is not clear at the time of this report.
Our Correspondent reports that youths from Aladja Community in Udu Local Government Area repelled the attacks and chased the suspected Ogbe-Ijoh hoodlums away.
At the time of this report, no casualties from the both parties as they’re seriously spoiling for war.
It would be recalled that the Warring Aladja and Ogbe-Ijoh communities in Udu and Warri Southwest council areas of Delta State have signed a peace treaty.
The communities, which have been enmeshed in a lingering boundary dispute, came to a truce at a peace and security meeting at the Government House Annex, Edjeba in Warri South LGA, September ,2022.
The statement titled: “Peace Accord,” read: “It is resolved that henceforth, the Aladja community and Ogbe-Ijoh community will no longer attack each other over the disputed land.
