An unidentified suspected handset thief was burnt to death by irate mob at Eburu Junction by Eboh Road , Okumagba Layout, Warri,Delta State late evening of Friday 7th July, 2023.
The suspected hoodlum is believed to be a gang of handset snatcher terrorising Eboh Road to the Warri Garage Area on commercial tricycles ( keke ) at gun point .
It was gathered that the said suspect along with his two gang members encountered a galant young man that refused to let go of his handset without resistance.
Irked by the brevery of the young man, it was gathered that one of the men of the underworld fired a shot at him and that the bullets did not piece the body of the young man .
Sensing danger the chicken hearted hoodlums decided to take to their heals but the burnt hoodlum was unlucky as the galant young man grabbed him and in the process raised an alarm for assistance that attracted residents to the scene that gave the needed assistance from concerned residents.
A judgement of instance justice was passed on the suspected handset snatcher and pronto he was set ablaze to death with used motor tyres .
