A leading Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP ) Uvwie Local Government Council chairmanship aspirant , Chief Austin Tivere Ukuwrere has stated that Governor Sheriff Francis Oborevwori was a divine project of God for the development of Delta State.
Ukuwrere who is the immediate past President General of Uvwie General Improvement Union ( UGIU) stated this in a media chat with our correspondent in Effurun, Uvwie Local Government Area on the Court of Appeal victory of Governor Oborevwori at the weekend.
He substantiated his claim with the victories of Governor Oborevwori at the PDP Delta State governorship primaries, Delta State governorship election tribunal at Asaba and last Friday ‘ Court of Appeal verdict on the affirmation of Rt Hon Oborevwori election as the governor of Delta State.
Ukuwrere stressed that Governor Oborevwori was a project of God for the development of Delta State ” No amount of blackmail or falsehood by the opposition can stop or unseat him .
” Mark my words, he will still triumph at the Supreme Court.
” It will be a mere waste of money and time for the All Progressive Congress ( APC ) Delta State governorship candidate Senator Ovie Omo-Agege to appeal the landmark Court of Appeal verdict.” he stated
While congratulating Governor Oborevwori on the Court of Appeal victory, Ukuwrere urged Governor Oborevwori not to be distracted by the opposition and that he should continue to do more for Delta State . ” Governor Oborevwori should know that God and the good people of Delta State are strongly behind him ” he added
