Assistant Deputy Director of Media and Publicity, Delta State Campaign Council, Dr Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe says the recent defections from PDP by some party members would not affect the victory of the Party’s Gubernatorial candidate , Right Honourable Sheriff Oborevwori in the forth coming Elections.
Dr Oghenesivbe spoke shortly after he featured on a Programme in Delta Rainbow Television, DRTV and Radio Delta Warri, Delta State .
Dr Fred Oghenesivbe said the defection of PDP members to other parties in the State was foreseeable as some of the aggrieved PDP members and some Governorship Aspirants refused to sheath their swords and work for the party after the PDP Governorship primary.
He added that more people have defected from other Parties to the PDP compared to those who left the party.
The Assistant Deputy Director of Media and Publicity, Delta State Campaign council revealed that after the ward to ward and local Government to Local Government campaigns in the State , He is one hundred percent sure of Right Honourable Sheriff Oborevwori’s victory at the polls.
Dr Oghenesivbe said Right Honourable Oborevwori, with his M.O.R.E. Agenda is set to deliver to Deltans a State where love, peace, prosperity for all would be the principal focus.
He added that the PDP in Delta State is united, peaceful and working hard collectively across the State to ensure that all its candidates across board win the 2023 elections with convincing votes.
“PDP will win landslide in the forthcoming Elections because Deltans have accepted our party , there is no other party with structures in the state, he said ”
On the Educational Qualification of the PDP Governorship candidate, Right Honourable Sheriff Oborevwori, Dr Oghenesivbe said he is qualifed educationally to be the next Governor saying they both attended same secondary school .
He added that Right Honourable Oborevwori obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree from Ambrose Alli University and a master of Science degree from Delta State University Abraka.
Dr Fred Oghenesivbe, stated Right Honourable Oborevwori has both legislative and executive experience as he had worked with three governors since 2003 when he was appointed as special assistant .
He added that the PDP Governorship candidate has knowledge of
Developmental needs, aspirations and challenges of the People in the State, better than most politicians.
Dr Oghenesivbe also urged Deltans to support the Vice Presidential candidate of PDP , Senator Ifeanyi Okowa who has worked tiredlesly for the development of Delta State and for the growth of the party .
He said the Atiku-Okowa ticket would further improve the economy of the country .
Dr Oghenesivbe urged Deltans to collect their PVCs and vote for all PDP candidates in the forthcoming Elections.
