A principal member of the Olodi , Oki and Ighogbadu kindred families of Okere Urhobo Kingdom Warri South Local Government Area , Cyril Eboh has demanded for a retraction of a news item and an apology from Hon Igho Egheba Okumagba published in the Pointer edition of Friday 28th July , 2023 and on front page of Urhobo Voice edition of July 31st, 2023.
This was contained in a statement issued by Cyril Eboh made available to newsmen in Warri at the weekend
Eboh who is the liaison officer of Complete Venture stated that the said publication was defamatory to his image and the image of Complete Venture.
He also stated that Complete Venture is an existing company that was duly registered with the relevant laws of Nigeria.
Eboh stressed that other things stated in the said publication were dafamatory to his image .
” In the circumstance of the above, I hereby demand that Hon Igho Egheba Okumagba should make a publication to retract the said publication and apologize to me in a national daily ” the statement added .
An aggrieved Cyril Eboh warned that ” should Hon Igho Egheba Okumagba neglect or fail to comply with my modest demand stated within 14days from the day of this publication, I will not hesitate to approach a court of competent jurisdiction to file an action of deformation of character “
