The Okere Urhobo Development Movement umbrella body of the entire Youths of Okere Urhobo Kingdom has inaugurated a new set of elected Officers with the Comr. Eburu Emuaghogho as Chairman.
The inauguration ceremony which took place at the palace of the Orosuen of Okere Kingdom in Warri, Delta State, was done immediately after the election was conducted at the Okere Urhobo Community Secretariat by the electoral committee.
Addressing Journalists after the election, Chinaman of the electoral Committee, Chief Ochuko Maduku declared that 11 persons including the Chairman were returned unopposed, while the position of the PRO was contested by Barr. Warrence Oghenetejiri Val, scoring 16 votes and Comr. Ayuba Misa, 04 votes.
He however used the medium to thank the executive chairman of Warri South local government council, Dr. Michael Tidi for his enormous support towards the success of this youth election.
In his remark, HRM Ogheneochuko Morris Ekpeyimi-Egbobonyen, Owhotemu II, the Orosuen of Okere Urhobo Kingdom, Warri, thanked the electoral Committee, Security agents, Chiefs, out going executives and entire people of Okere Urhobo kingdom for peaceful conduct of the election.
He said; “The Okere Urhobo Development Movement is the Umbrella body of the entire youths of Okere Urhobo kingdom and this is the only recognized youth body that is known in this kingdom. Any other persons parading themselves should be apprehended by the law enforcement agencies because we have just one youth body of Okere Urhobo kingdom.”
On his part the newly Sworn-in Youth Chairman of Okere Urhobo Development Movement, Comr. Eburu Emuaghogho, in his inaugural speech, thanked the Okere Urhobo monarch, HRM The Owhotemu II of Okere Urhobo Kingdom and Council Chiefs of Okere Urhobo, the outgoing youth executives and the respective families of Okere Urhobo community, for finding the newly sworn in youths executives worthy to be given the responsibility to coordinate the activities of the youths in this Kingdom, he however, pledged to transform the community and enhance development.”
He added that; “My First responsibility is to ensure unity and stability amongst the youths of Okere Urhobo kingdom by carrying everyone along and be transparent in all our dealings. I am confidence in the capacity of my fellow executives as we have 9 graduates out of the 12 excos which I believe is the first of it’s kind in the history of youth leadership of Okere Urhobo kingdom and this will enhance our performance as executives by ensuring that youths are gainfully employed”.
He noted; “We will come up with developmental ideals that will improve the live of the youths of Okere Urhobo kingdom and we will ensure sanity within the kingdom and ensure that youth restiveness is totally eradicated”
“We will invest to become a profit making organization so that we can give back to the kingdom and that all our activities are inline with the vision of the thrown and further out the interest of the kingdom first in our operations. We pledge our loyalty to the throne at all times.”
Those inaugurated include; Comr. Eburu Emuaghogho, Chairman, Philip Oritsejolomi Frederick, Vice Chairman, Okpaghoro Omatseye, Secretary, Opoggen Oghenekparobo, Treasurer, Iboyi Alex Efe, Financial Secretary, Eyenor Prosper Fejiro, Sanitary Officer, Oghotemi Job, Chief Whip, Eyekpimi Omonor Morrison, Social Welfare Officer, Maduku Stanley, Auditor, Oruese Stephen Akpos, Cultural Officer, Iboyi Ogheneruemu, Assistant Secretary and Warrence Oghenetejiri Val, PRO.
