Rotary Club of Warri Central , District 9141 has Donated waste disposal Bins to Ekpan General Hospital and Ekapn Secondary school in Uvwie local Government area of Delta State.
Presenting the items the President of the Club Rotarian Efetobore Tobrise disclosed that the donation was aimed at protecting the hospital and school environment.
Rotarian Efetobore Tobrise explained that the donation keys into one of Rotary international areas of focus which is supporting the environment.
She also stated that the gesture is part of efforts to improve on the school’s and hospital hygiene and Sanitation.
While presenting the waste bins to the management and staff of Ekpan General Hospital and Principal,staff and students of Ekpan secondary school,the President stated that the initiative aims to raise awareness about the importance of sanitation, and hygiene education for a healthy environment and a productive life.
Rotarian Tobrise urged the beneficiaries to take good care of the wastes bins in order to attract more donations from the club.
The project chairman and immediate Past President of the club Rotarian Isioma Uwagbai disclosed that the club deemed it fit to support the environment of the school and hospital by donating 8 waste disposal Bins .
He added that the gesture aligns with Rotary international seven areas of focus .
For his part the medical Director of Ekpan General Hospital Doctor Ufuoma Abeke thanked Rotary Club of Warri Central for the donation,noting that it will further assist the hospital to Control the spread of infectious diseases.
He appealed to other good spirited Nigerians to complement the state government efforts in improving the facilities at government hospitals .
Also speaking the principal of Ekpan Secondary school Chief Monday Mujakperuo on behalf of the school commended Rotary club of Warri Central for the gesture .
The principal stated that it will help improve the cleanliness of the school environment.
