The chairman of Bomadi local Government,Hon Dagidi Andaye has reeled out his achievements in the past one year in office .
The full text of his message to the people of Bomadi reads ;
“As I mark my first year in office as Executive Chairman of Bomadi Local Government Area today, July 15, 2025, I am filled with gratitude to God Almighty and immense pride in the progress we have achieved together.
This milestone offers us an opportunity to reflect on our journey and the concrete steps we have taken to transform Bomadi into a better place for all.
Our Administration’s Achievements;
Over the past year, our administration has executed an impressive range of infrastructure projects.
These include the renovation of major roads, construction of residential lodges, paved walkways, and drainage systems. We successfully completed the Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori Ultra-Modern Multipurpose Event Centre, residential quarters for principal officers, and the rehabilitation of the main pavilion. Most significantly, we reconnected Bomadi to the national grid after 15 years of darkness, restoring stable electricity to our people.
..Empowering Our Citizens..
“We have prioritized initiatives that uplift the vulnerable and empower our youth. The Bomadi Elderly Citizens Empowerment Programme (BECEP) now provides monthly stipends to over 400 senior citizens, restoring dignity and offering crucial financial relief. Furthermore, through the Bomadi Skill Acquisition and Empowerment Programme, we have trained hundreds of young people in trades such as catering, wig making, and makeup artistry—with starter packs to be distributed upon graduation.”
Healthcare and Education;
“Our administration has made impactful strides in the health and education sectors. We have equipped hospitals and primary health centers with essential medical supplies and furniture, partnered with the Health Authority on immunization campaigns and disease surveillance, and renovated public nursery and primary schools across the LGA. Looking ahead to 2026, we plan to activate a vocational center to provide continuous skills training for students and youths.”
Security and Peacebuilding;
“Security remains a key priority. We inaugurated the Bomadi Local Government Security and Advisory Council, made up of retired security personnel, community leaders, and other stakeholders. This body has been instrumental in mediating crises in communities such as Okoloba and Okuama. We have also increased allowances for security personnel, provided patrol vehicles, and ensured decent accommodation for security agencies in our area.”
Looking Ahead:
“As we celebrate this one-year milestone, I am pleased to announce that His Excellency, the Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, will visit Bomadi later this month to commission all completed projects across the council. This visit will not only highlight our collective accomplishments but also reaffirm the Governor’s commitment to grassroots development.
I am sincerely grateful to the good people of Bomadi for their unwavering support and trust. We remain resolute in our mission to build a better, stronger, and more prosperous Bomadi Local Government Area.
